Built for NYC's professional firms.

We've spent 30 years learning what small and mid-size professional firms actually need from IT. No bloated contracts, no offshore help desks — just reliable support that runs quietly in the background so you can focus on your work.

Clio, Amicus Attorney, Trialworks — we keep your practice management software running and your client data secure.

02

Opening a satellite office in New York? We get you set up fast, keep you running, and act as your local IT department from day one.

04

Any Service Business

If you're focused on your clients and can't afford to think about IT, you're our kind of client.

A full-time IT hire in NYC costs $80–120k a year. Our retainer clients get the same coverage — and a 30-year track record — for a fraction of that. And they text us directly when something breaks.

Built on a $1 bet.
Still proving it.

In the early 1990s, personal computing was twenty years into rewriting the world. Most people were just discovering the mouse. Richard Lee had already clocked his 10,000 hours — not in a classroom or a corporate training program, but hunched over his father's IBM PC, figuring things out the way the genuinely curious always do.

He had a knack for explaining technology to people who didn't speak the language. He noticed something else, too: the technicians who dominated the field were sloppy, jargon-heavy, and chronically unreliable. They didn't call back. They talked at clients instead of listening to them. They treated support like a transaction rather than a relationship.

His father didn't think he could build something better. He put a dollar on it.

Richard won the bet. He named the company PILLAR — deliberately. A pillar doesn't draw attention to itself. It holds things up quietly, elegantly, so everything around it can stand tall. That philosophy has guided every client relationship since the day the doors opened in Manhattan.

"A pillar doesn't draw attention to itself. It holds things up quietly, so everything around it can stand tall."

— The idea behind the name
120 Square feet.
Our Manhattan office.
5 Boroughs served.
Hundreds of machines.
$1 The bet that
started it all.

Richard Lee & Michael Song

Over the years, Richard understood that staying solo was a ceiling, not a feature. Growth required a partner — someone who shared the same values, the same standards, the same belief that clients deserve to be treated like people, not ticket numbers. That person arrived through a departing employee's introduction: Michael Song.

What began as a professional introduction became a friendship, and what became a friendship became the backbone of PILLAR. Today, Richard and Michael run a lean, deliberate operation — small by design, effective by choice — out of a 120-square-foot office in Manhattan, supporting hundreds of computers across the five boroughs and treating every client like their only one.
